After tanning, the tanner applies waxes and oils to the leather. The melting process at high temperatures then creates this inimitable wild structure. These extraordinary color structures add this unique and special look to the cowhide and each case varies strongly with this optical effect. So every customer gets his iPhone leather sleeve with completely own and individual character.

The leather for the iPhone case

The ca. 2.5 mm thick leather is a vegetable tanned natural leather from a small tannery, a family business, in southern Germany. The leather is traditionally tanned by hand and then treated with natural waxes and oils. Extraordinary colour shades give a unique look, which is created with wax and heat. The outstanding quality of the leather can not only be seen, but also smelled.

The lining of the leather sleeve

The felt with its cushioning properties protects the iPhone optimally. It comes from German production. The felt lining in anthracite mixed from 2 mm thick felt is firmly glued to the leather. Then we provide the cover with our diamond-shaped deep embossing and sew it with thick twine.

For those who use the iPhone without additional silicone protection:

In order not to destroy the design of the iPhone, our customers often do not use additional plastic shells. That's why the leather cases are made slim-fit, that the tension of the case keeps the smartphone well in it - but it is still easy to remove. That's how we do it: After cutting, we „sharpen“ the lateral and lower leather edges, i.e. the edges of the leather are thinned so that your mobile phone can later be easily inserted into the sleeve and the case becomes handier and adapts better to the iPhone.

The leather sleeves are handcrafted for you in our workshop to fit the iPhone.

The leather does not require any care. It gets scratches and patina with use which makes it even more valuable. White spots in the embossing - caused by the leakage of oil and wax - can be easily removed with a soft cloth or brush.
